About Us

In 1982 Carole Todaro began offering Suzuki violin instruction at the home studio of Nancy Eberiel in Westford, MA. In 1984, the Westford Suzuki School was officially named once established with 20 violin students, 6 piano students and administrative assistant Kitty Marone. Since that time the composition of faculty has changed to accomodate the growing enrollment which now totals over 100 students. The school was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1991 and is governed by an executive board elected by parents at the annual meeting held in the late morning.

In addition to private instrumental lessons, supplementary musical programs include violin repertoire classes, piano ensemble groups, and theory instruction. Three formal recitals are held during the year as well as informal play-in opportunities. WSS supports activities sponsored in teh Westford Art Show as well as the June Strawberry Festival.
