The Westford Suzuki School

In 1982, Carole Todaro began offering Suzuki violin instruction at the home studio of Nancy Eberiel at 4 Depot Street. In 1984, the Westford Suzuki School was officially named and established with 26 violin students, 6 piano students, and administrative assistant Kitty Marrone. Since that time the composition of the faculty has changed to accommodate the growing enrollment that now totals over 125 students. The school was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1991.

In addition to private instrumental lessons, supplementary musical programs include violin repertoire classes, piano ensemble groups, and theory instruction. Three formal recitals are held during the year as well as informal play-ins. WSS supports activities sponsored by Suzuki Music Schools, Inc. of Massachusetts, and participates in the annual Westford Art Show as well as the June Strawberry Festival.

Beginning in September 1995, the Westford Suzuki School added chamber music ensembles and cello instruction.
